The Kauai Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation has had a busy year.
They were a part of more than 25 beach cleanups and net patrols, removing several tons of marine debris off Kauai beaches, 12 Blue Water Task Force samplings, a restaurant Styrofoam use survey, a state conference and they wrote a lot of letters promoting their cause.
Yet, there is more to do.
Kauai Surfrider will hold its annual membership meeting and elect officers for the Executive Committee at 5:30 tonight at Cafe Coco in Wailua. The group will discuss its yearly achievements and set direction for the upcoming year.
