Congratulations to Mila Rapanot who was named Outstanding Female Volunteer for the Wescon Region of Pop Warner football!
Teddy Arroyo, Kauai Pop Warner Football League commissioner, was totally thrilled with the honor considering it covers the region outside of Hawaii. He made the announcement during a KPWFL meeting (mahalo to the Lihue Patriots PW Association for the hospitality) where all of the associations met to plan the fall season which is right around the corner.
Millie Ah Hee, KPWFL scholastic coordinator, said she keeps saying, “This is my last year,” but she’s still there, helping guide the Kauai student-athletes to national acclaim.
OK, this is the big weekend with Gerald Nakashima heading the Countdown to Charity Walk which takes place at the Kukui Grove Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Then, you can check out Donna Stuart at the Kauai Historical Society shindig at the historic County Building from 4 to 9 p.m.
