Kauai Bulldogs’ quarterback Boogie Yam ran for two touchdowns to lead Bulldogs to a 12-0 win over Waipahu Saints Saturday at Aloha Stadium on Oahu.
Brad Hiranaka, the KYF Intermediate commissioner, said Yam peeled off touchdowns of 24 yards in the second half and 51 yards early in the third quarter for the Kauai Bulldogs’ scoring.
With the win, the Kauai Bulldogs, comprised of students in grades six through eight, will take the field for a pair of games this weekend. Friday evening, the Kauai Bulldogs face the Westside Pride who suffered an 8-6 loss at the hands of the Kapaa Warriors Friday night. Kickoff is at Vidinha Stadium starting at 7 p.m.
On Mother’s Day, the Kauai Bulldogs take the field against the Kapaa Warriors who picked up its first win of the season with the Westside win. Kickoff is at 10 a.m. at Vidinha Stadium.
