Sandy has many hours of service to Kauai Habitat for Humanity and was one of the many happy people in attendance during the blessing of Kauai Habitat homes for Robert, Ona and Kaimana McDermott and the family of Kaimi Kaneholani (dad Uncle John lives just two houses down).
Sandy was chatting with Mara Petruzziello of Team Brute Force 12, an all-Canadian global village team here to build homes in Anahola and Kekaha, but had time to celebrate the new homes.
Uncle John’s neice Anolani Higashi was getting ready to leave for the Merrie Monarch and Uncle John (he used to play music with Lady Ipo Kahaunaele Ferreira — she has a Kauai Habitat home!) said Leinaala Pavao Jardin went to the Merrie Monarch with them when they participated with Aunty Lovey Apana.
Kudos to Stephen Spears, Milani Pimental, Jessica Clabo and all the Kauai Habitat people on a great job — not only with the blessings, but for getting people into homes.
