LIHUE — The Friends of the Lihue Library Spring Used Book Sale is scheduled 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday.
The sale, part of the National Library Week celebration, will feature hundreds of titles in hardbound, softbound and paperback books, children’s books, DVDs, CDs, and some special items with prices as marked.
“This used book sale is an experiment,” said Joy Kouchi of the Friends of Lihue Library who was putting final touches on the many offerings. “In the past, we hosted the sale for three days. This year, we’re going to experiment with having it just on Friday and Saturday.”
Shoppers are able to take advantage of the sale’s “buy 5, get 1 free” offer along with hardbound books for $2, paperbacks and sofbound books for $1 each.
Children’s books are 2-for-$1, DVDs are $2 each, CDs single are $2 each and CDs multiples are $5.
Additionally, for those who are unable to find anything in the tables of books, CDs, DVDs, and special items, the Friends of the Lihue Library will accept cash donations with all proceeds supporting the Lihue Public Library.
