LIHUE — Kalaheo resident Suzanne Schott took home the keys to a new 2014 Kia Soul on Wednesday as part of the Aloha Island Mart’s recent Aloha Kia Sweepstakes.
“I have never owned a brand new car in my life — I’m so excited,” said Schott, who frequently visits the Kalaheo Aloha Island Mart during her morning commute. “Everybody at the store is always so friendly and knows me by name.”
The statewide contest, held throughout March, was open to all Hawaii residents 18 years old and over.
Schott was among five sweepstakes finalists who earned the chance to select the winning key to start the green five-door SUV.
The four other finalists each received a $200 Aloha Petroleum gift card.
“Suzanne is a loyal Aloha Island Mart customer from the Kauai community, and we enjoy making our customers happy,” said Larry Adams, director of sales and marketing at Aloha Petroleum, who presided over the festivities at Aloha Island Mart Kaneohe on Oahu.
