LIHUE — The executive officer of the Pacific Missile Range Facility at Barking Sands was relieved of his duties today due to “unsatisfactory performance while serving,” according to the base.
Cmdr. Garron Morris, who held the position since March 2012, was removed from his position by Capt. Bruce Hay, commanding officer of PMRF.
He has been administratively reassigned within the same command.
“An executive officer has a unique position of trust and responsibility, and has a key role in shaping morale, good order and discipline within the command,” the base wrote in a release. “Due to this unique position, his immediate superiors must have full confidence in that officer’s judgment and ability to lead.”
