Santiago Ganiban
Santiago Balico Ganiban of Hanamaulu passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on February 18, 2014, at the age of 96. He was born in Sarrat Ilocos Norte, Philippines on July 25, 1917 and retired as a landscaper from Smith’s Paradise.
Preceded in death by his wife, Agripina Ganiban and daughter, Eufemia Lagutan.
He is survived by his daughter, Carmen (Monico) Balico of Hanamaulu; four grandchildren, George (Rosevela) Garcia of Philippines, Madelyn (Emmett) Glee of Lihue, Romel (Gina) Lagutan of Canada and Saniata Balico of Canada; 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Daniel Johnsen
Daniel Johnsen of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 15, 2014, at the age of 79. He was born in Wisconsin on July 22, 1934. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War. He retired as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service.
Preceded in death by his son, Paul Johnsen and sister, Lillian Lewandowski.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnsen; two sons, Michael Johnsen and Danny (Sue) Johnsen; one daughter, Laurie Edmundson; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bob Johnsen; daughter-in-law, Leslie Johnsen; brother-in-law, Donald Lewandowski; nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Hanapepe Veterans Cemetery.

Clyde Cox
Clyde Arnold Cox of Hanapepe died peacefully at home on April 10th 2014 at the age of 73. Born on June 4, 1940, in Bremerton, WA, he was an Electronic Engineer with Honeywell, NASA.
He is preceded in death by his wife Janet Cox.
He is survived by his son Clyde Cox Jr. of Olathe, KS, daughter Susan M. Cox (Kylan dela Cruz) of Hanapepe, HI, brother Darrell (Loretta) Cox of Aiea, HI, grandchildren, Brandee of Hanapepe, BreeAnn of Las Vegas, Blakelee of Hanapepe, Brittany of Waianae and Matthew Cox of Waianae, great-granddaughter ChaiLee Jeighne of Hanapepe, and niece Jainnie (Craig) Jenkins of Colorado. Also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and his pets, Bambee, Soft Kittee, and Pants.
Services for Clyde will be June 4, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at the Kauai Veterans’ Cemetery, Hanapepe.

Wolfgang Plamp
Wolfgang Plamp of Kapaa passed away at home on April 19, 2014, at the age of 79. He was born in East Germany on October 26, 1934, and retired as a Machine Mechanic.
He is survived by his wife Christine Plamp of Kapaa; brother-in-law, Rudolph Sacher of Germany; sisters-in-law, Maria Wolfe of California and Margaret Alscher of Germany, and his many dear friends of St. Catherine Church.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at St. Catherine Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m.

Frederico Lopez
Frederico Lopez of Lihue passed away at home on April 19, 2014, at the age of 84. He was born in Kapaa, Kauai on July 2, 1929, and retired as a stacker with Lihue Sugar Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife, Crescencia Lopez; daughters, Hazel Rellin, April Rellin; son, Allan Lopez; brothers, Frank, Vince, Larry; sisters, Diana, Andrea, Irene, Dolores and Rita.
He is survived by seven daughters, Martha (Dennis) Kaminski of Illinois, Dolores Barry of Oklahoma, Annie Rellin of Puhi, Sheila (Ralph) Schmarje of Arizona, Kathleen Christian of California, Carmela Cabacungan of Lihue, Novella (Lawrence) Laranio of Waimea; six sons, Ali Birtadaso of Waimea, Garrick Lopez of Kapaa, Timothy Laranio of Anahola, Wayne (Leilani) Laranio of Kapaa, Ronald (Jeanette) Lopez of Kapaa, Joe (Lihue) Lopez of Kapaa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elino and Richard “Tojo”; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

LeRoy Silva
LeRoy M. Silva, age 72, passed away April 19, 2014 in Colorado Springs. LeRoy was born September 12, 1941 in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii to Abel A. and Lucille (Franco) Silva.
He is a 1959 graduate of Kauai High School. He served in the United States Army and served in Korea. Following an honorable discharge, LeRoy worked as a Project Manager for 32 years in the United States Civil Service, before retiring. LeRoy loved cars and enjoyed history and science.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Silva; son, Randy (Joan) Silva; his daughter, Grace (Trent) Poole; his sister, Julie S. Victorino and six grandchildren.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; his son, L. Michael Silva; his brother, Leslie M. Silva; and his brother-in-law, Steven Victorino.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Faith Bible Church, 6862 Galley Rd. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80915. A reception at the church will follow the service. Inurnment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in LeRoy’s honor to Faith Bible Church.
Albert Genegabuas
Albert S. Genegabuas of Kapaa passed away on April 15, 2014 at home at the age of 72. Born on October 28, 1941, in Hilo, HI, he was a ground-keeper at KCC.
He is survived by his wife Linda Genegabuas, daughters, Tina (Joe Bordeaux) of Kapaa and Linda (Scott Nagano) of Lihue, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private Services were held.
