Calvin Paleka was working through getting to at least the semis of the girls qualifying tennis at the Kauai Community College courts since Greg Gonsalves got called to Oahu.
Over at the Kauai Lagoons courts, Charles Fulks and Adrian Alvarez had Ernie Blachowiach to help coordinate the boys’ matches which were slightly delayed due to the rain.
Finals start at 8 a.m. today with the opening round of golf starting at noon.
Reni Domingo of Matson Navigation said they not only doubled the awards to the Project Grad programs, they were walking with the March for Babies in addition to the corporate contributions.
Kudos to Kristi Kinimaka, this year’s March for Babies coordinator, who sends mahalo to the more than 300 walkers who helped our premature babies. Deann Yamaguchi of the first-time Bamboo team said thank heaven for social media which helped her make her target. Kristi said next year’s walk is on April 11.
