Gilbert Nobrega Jr.
Gilbert Stanley Nobrega Jr. of Hanapepe Valley, Kauai formerly of Waimanalo, Oahu, Hawaii.
Passed away on April 7, 2014 at the age of 69, Born on April 20, 1944 in Honolulu, Oahu. He was a County of Kauai refuse driver, United Public Workers (UPW) Union director on Kauai, President of the Hui Hana Paakai o Hanapepe, skilled salt maker, community advocate, mechanic, loving caregiver, and active member of Kauai Classic Cars.
Preceded in death by his son, Mark Kekoa Nobrega (2010) and sister, Nellie Tanabe.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rosalyn Nobrega, and they resided in the moku of Kona, in the ahupuaa of Hanapepe where they raised their three children- Gig, Mark, and Malia. The hiapo (eldest child), Gilbert Nobrega III and his wife, Babes, also live in Hanapepe Valley with their ‘ohana. Gina Malia Nobrega-Olivera and her husband Victor live in the moku of Kona, in the ahupuaa of Waikiki.
Papa Nobrega loved his moopuna (grandchildren) and were so proud of them- Nainoa, Nanea, Kanoe, Kamakani, Ashleigh, and Genoa. The moopuna kuakahi (great-grandchildren) are Kekoa, Kaiolu, Shyah, and Jordyn and they loved visiting with Tutu Man.
Gilbert is also survived by his sisters, Nona Kamai, Palolo; Marilyn (George “Jarboy”) Cabatic, Halawa; Gilberta (Larry) Limasa, Waipahu; Myrna (Marshall) Colbert, Waimanalo; Cherle (Kimo) Kaholokula, Kapaa; brothers, Archie Tanabe, Hilo and Herman Meyer.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday April 20, 2014 at the Hanapepe Tennis Court Pavilion. Visitation at 12:00 p.m., Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial at a later date.
John Correa
John Damien Correa of Kalaheo passed away on April 12, 2014 at Garden Isle HealthCare at the age of 70. Born on April 22, 1943, in Eleele, Kauai, he was a retired Accountant with Kaimuki Plumbing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Margaret Correa, and brothers Thomas Harold Correa and Richard Correa.
He is survived by his brother Jerry J. Correa, sister Rose Marie Lopez, and sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Correa and Betty Mae Correa, all of Kalaheo. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Mildred Fuertes
Mildred “Millie” Sueko Fuertes of Kekaha, Hawaii passed away at Straub Clinic on April 10, 2014 at the age of 72. Born on September 21, 1941, in Lanai City, Hawaii, she was a retired Teacher with Waimea High School.
She is survived by her husband, Basilio “Tata Bunga” Fuertes, Jr., son Kareem (Nicole) Richard Yutaka Fuertes of Kapolei, daughters, Kimberly (Dennis) Toyoko Kamiya and Cheryl (Buenaflor) Sueko Robles, both of Mililani, brothers, Stanley (Midori) Oshima , Bernard (June) Oshima, and Eugene (Shigemi) Oshima, sister Lilian Rivera, six grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Miyamoto, Andrew Robles, Michael Kamiya, Aaron Kamiya, Katherine Kamiya, and Azia Robles, and two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Leila Miyamoto.
Friends may visit with the family on April 19, 2014, from 9:00 am at the Waimea High School Front Lawn. Services will begin at 11:00 am. Family only burial to follow at Waimea Japanese Cemetary. The family suggests aloha attire.

Adelina Duldulao
Adelina Ramos Duldulao of Eleele, Kauai Passed away on April 5, 2014 at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 93. Born on June 19, 1920 in Baay Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines she was a Dedicated Homemaker.
Proceded in death by her parents Florentino & Gerarda Romas, husband Tomas Duldulao, and her son Bonifacio Duldulao.
She is survived by her two daughters: Dely (Mac) Layaoen; Merlita (Delfin) Albano; 4) sons: Gil (Marlina) Duldulao; Francisco (Carrie) Duldulao; Alex (Vivian) Duldulao; Balthazar (Perla) Duldulao; 18) Grandchildren & 22) Great Grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday April 25, 2014 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Again on Saturday April 26, 2014 at Eleele Sacred Hearts Church from 8:oo am to 9:45 am. Where mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Clyde Cox
Clyde Arnold Cox of Hanapepe died peacefully at home on April 10th 2014 at the age of 73. Born on June 4, 1940, in Bremerton, WA, he was an Electronic Engineer with Honeywell, NASA.
He is preceded in death by his wife Janet Cox.
He is survived by his son Clyde Cox Jr. of Olathe, KS, daughter Susan M. Cox (Kylan dela Cruz) of Hanapepe, HI, brother Darrell (Loretta) Cox of Aiea, HI, grandchildren, Brandee of Hanapepe, BreeAnn of Las Vegas, Blakelee of Hanapepe, Brittany of Waianae and Matthew Cox of Waianae, great-granddaughter ChaiLee Jeighne of Hanapepe, and niece Jainnie (Craig) Jenkins of Colorado. Also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and his pets, Bambee, Soft Kittee, and Pants.
Services for Clyde will be scheduled for a later date.
