The annual First Hawaiian Bank Troy Barboza Law Enforcement Torch Run and Special Olympics Kauai Track and Field Meet is Saturday at Vidinha Stadium.

Sgt. Rod Green, Kauai’s law enforcement officers and event participants will escort athletes and the “Flame of Hope,” followed by opening ceremonies and competitions.

Kauai’s Special Olympics Athletes will compete in the 50 meter dash, standing and running long jump, shot put and softball throw.

Registration for Torch Run will begin at 7 a.m. with the start at 7:45. Cost is $30. Participants will receive a T-shirt.
