Pedro Polintang
Pedro Maneja Polintang of Hanamaulu passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 26, 2014, at the age of 89. He was born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on August 15, 1924, and retired as a Laboratory Technician with Lihue Sugar Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife, Emerenciana; sons, Emmanuel, Valentino and Victor; parents, Vicente and Celedonia; brothers, Venancio, Tito, Andres, Oligario, Onorio, Bonifacio, Timoteo, Anastacio; sisters, Modesta, Narcisa, Mercedes and Carolina.
He is survived by one grandson, Sheldon Polintang; daughter-in-law, Faye Badua Granciosa; sister-in-law, Magdalena S. Polintang; nieces and nephews, Ludy Tumpap, Victoria (Manolo) Herrera, Rose (Bernie) Semana, Glory (Efren) Taylan, Betty Polintang, Dana (Danial) Garven, Lourdes, Antonio, Travis, Kira, Keanu, Jen, Brittney, Bryson, Brennan, Bradley, Bridget, Marvin, Jun, Jean, Mercythes, Melissa; numerous family members abroad.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Polintang family with arrangements.
Gerry Charlebois
Gerry Charlebois of Kapaa, passed away on March 11, 2014, at the age of 54. Born on July 14, 1959, in Iserlohn, Germany, He was the owner of Birds in Paradise, a powered-gliding flight school.
Preceded in death by his sister Carol. He is survived by his parents, Gerard Charlebois and Terrie Moody, his life partner Julie Mann, and brothers Tony and Joey.
A going-away party will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2014, from 2:30-8 p.m., at the Smith’s Tropical Paradise Luau Pavilion in Wailua.
Juanita Relacion
Juanita “Nita” Oralde Relacion of Lihue passed away at home on March 2, 2014, at the age of 88. She was born in Kapaa, Kauai on May 21, 1925, and raised in Ahukini, Kauai. She was a W.A.V.C. at Pearl Harbor, and retired as a waitress with Kauai Inn/Kauai Surf and Librarian at Immaculate Conception School.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Cupie” Relacion; parents, Buenaventura and Teoducia Oralde and sister, Catherine Griffith.
She is survived by her son, Eugene (Cherisse) Relacion of Honolulu; daughters, Joyce (Ronald) Cabalse of Keaau, HI, Roberta (Peter) Gregoire of Seattle, WA, Janie Relacion Meyers and Valerie Relacion of Lihue, HI; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Carol Fujimoto
Carol Tsutako Fujimoto of Lihue passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on March 20, 2014, at the age of 85. She was born in Anahola, Kauai on December 25, 1928 and retired as a telephone operator with Hawaiian Telephone Company.
Preceded in death by her son, Alan Fujimoto and son-in-law, Ronald Kawamura.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Fujimoto of Lihue; sons, Wayne (Hazel) Fujimoto of Eleele, Chad Fujimoto of Honolulu; daughters, Judith Kawamura and Donna (Kent) Mitani both of Mililani; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Lihue Christian Church with visitation from 9:30 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Family suggests casual attire and graciously declines flowers.
