Beau Hannafious and Jo Weaver were totally overwhelmed by the aloha demonstrated by Rainbeau Jo’s customers Friday.
“Our first anniversary was actually Thursday, but we wanted to make a real pau hana party so we moved it to Friday,” Jo said.
The plan didn’t work as everything was gone by noon. Jo said next week Saturday they’ll be at the All Saints Gym for the first Saturday market and at night will be in downtown Kapaa for First Saturday.
Kudos to MaBel Fujiuchi and the Kauai Economic Opportunity ohana who embark on their 50th anniversary celebration this year.
Joe Souki, the keynote speaker, said he got married just a few days following the Kennedy assassination. They were going to call off the wedding, “but the pig was in the imu, already.”
