Scattered thunderstorms are expected to continue across the Hawaiian Islands today.
A few of these storms could become severe, which are capable of producing damaging winds and hail the size of quarters or larger, in addition to frequent lightning and intense rainfall and possible funnel clouds, according to the National Weather Service.
NWS asks residents to be ready for rapid changes in the weather today. While not everyone will see severe weather, people should be prepared to move indoors quickly if the weather approaching from the southeast appears threatening or thunder is heard.
A flash flood watch is also in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday, according to NWS.
