Lanes will be closed during night work on Kuamoo Road as crews remove unstable rocks and trees. They will continue on the eve and morning of Prince Kuhio Day from 9 tonight through 5 a.m. Wednesday.
State of Hawaii highway road work usually stops over weekends and holidays, but in the interest of public safety, construction crews will continue to clear the hillside of loose debris. The work area begins at mile marker 0.2 (the Royal Birthing Stone parking area) to marker 0.9.
The work will run to approximately April 8.
