The first 40 youngsters to register online will receive a free tee gift at the Hawaii Junior Golf Day March 22.
Hosted by the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association and the Aloha Section PGA, the event is a free kids clinic by Professional Golf Association and Ladies Professional Golf Association professionals for new and beginning golfers ages 5 through 18 years old.
On Kauai, the Hawaii Junior Golf Day will be held at the Puakea Golf Course in Lihue and at the Princeville Makai Golf Club in Princeville from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Volunteers are welcome, but need to register online.
“Hawaii Junior Golf Day will be held at 12 golf courses around the state on March 22,” said Mary Bea Porter King, president of the HSJGA. “This is a great opportunity for our Hawaii keiki sponsored by the Aloha Section PGA and the HSJGA. There is a few more days to register online. Let’s work together to get our youth involved in a sport for a lifetime and have them spend time on a golf course.”
During the event, parents receive information on the “Roadmap to Junior Golf” where they can have their child enrolled in a Junior Golf program and have opportunities to learn, play and compete. Keiki will get free clinics.
