Helen Hogan
Helen Mary Hogan of Kalaheo, Kauai passed away on February 19, 2014 at home at the age of 92. Born on September 26, 1921 in Long Beach, CA, she was a full-time homemaker. She grew up in Kaimuki and attended Sacred Heart Academy.
Predeceased by her husband Patrick Joseph Hogan, son Patrick Hogan, parents John Allen and Ida Lillian Williams, and brothers, Martin Wiiliams and John Williams.
She is survived by her son, John Hogan of Kauai; daughters, Maureen Hogan of Honolulu, Diane Bushman of Santa Monica, CA, and Lynne Hart of Kalaheo, HI; sister, Ruth Williams of McMinnville, OR; grandchildren, Tyna Renee Mildrexler of Oregon, Tara McPherson (Sean Leonard) of New York , Grant Bushman of California, Ananda (RaeAnn) Hogan of Hilo, HI, Sean Hogan of Kalaheo, HI, and Keoni Hogan of Kaneohe, HI; great-grandchildren, Maile, Malia, and Hoku Mildrexter of Oregon, Caleb Terno Hogan of Hilo, HI, Koa Alan Hogan of Kalaheo, HI, and Ronan Vega McPherson-Leonard of New York; and numerous cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on March 13, 2014, 9:00 am, at the Holy Trinity Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at The National Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl).

Primitivo Ramos
Primitivo “Primo” Edralin Ramos of Hanamaulu passed away at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on February 20, 2014, at the age of 88. He was born in San Esteban, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on November 27, 1925, and retired as a laborer with Lihue Sugar Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife, Maria; granddaughter, Michelle Ramos and grandson, Crescencio Ramos Jr.
He is survived by five sons, Reynaldo (Marjorie) Ramos, German (Mila) Ramos, Samuel (Renee) Ramos, Crescencio “Cres” (Becky) Ramos, Jerry (Emily) Ramos; one daughter, Gladdy (Angel) Palaroan; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.

Juanita “Nita” Oralde Relacion of Lihue passed away at home on March 2, 2014, at the age of 88. She was born in Kapaa, Kauai on May 21, 1925, and raised in Ahukini, Kauai. She was a W.A.V.E. at Pearl Harbor, and retired as a waitress with Kauai Inn/Kauai Surf and Librarian at Immaculate Conception School.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Cupie” Relacion; parents, Buenaventura and Teoducia Oralde and sister, Catherine Griffith.
She is survived by her son, Eugene (Cherisse) Relacion of Honolulu; daughters, Joyce (Ronald) Cabalse of Keaau, HI, Roberta (Peter) Gregoire of Seattle, WA, Janie Relacion Meyers and Valerie Relacion of Lihue, HI; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Eura Hannah Makuaole Sapir of Kekaha, Kauai passed away on February 18, 2014 at home at the age of 78. Born on June 11, 1935 in Waimea, Kauai, she was a Front Office Manager with Fernhurst YWCA.
Preceded in death by her parents Kekua Kuapahi Makuaole and Eva Adolpho.
She is survived by her sons, Dexter (Pam) Tamura of Kahalui, Maui, Brian Gasper Sr. of Waianae, HI, Glenn Gasper of Makaweli Valley, Jaffrey Gasper of Waianae, HI, and Richard (Carla) Sapir of Portland, Oregon; daughter, Denise Aldene (James) – K. Leopoldo of Wainae, HI; brothers, George Makuaole of Wainae, HI, and Kealoha (Rosalie) Makuaole of Waimanalo, HI; sister, Gracie Acain of Kekaha, HI; lifelong Friend, Matilda Nawai Warkentin of San Jose, CA; 19 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 15, 2014, 10 am at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Service will begin at 11 am.

Elsie Penna DeBusca of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on February 28, 2014, at the age of 87. She was born in Lihue, Kauai on March 11, 1926, and was a dedicated homemaker.
Preceded in death by her son, Norbert DeBusca; parents, Norbert and Adeline Penna and sister, Dora Penna.
She is survived by her husband, Fred DeBusca of Lihue; two sons, Patrick (Rosalind) DeBusca and Freddy (Trudy) DeBusca; five grandchildren, Patrick (Michelle) DeBusca Jr., Keith (Kari) DeBusca, Debra DeBusca, Monica (Derek) Kawakami, Kateri (Kevin) Tennberg; nine great-grandchildren, Michael DeBusca, Kaitlin DeBusca, Liam DeBusca, Emily DeBusca, Joshua Dobashi, Teia DeBusca, Matthew Dobashi, Christopher Kawakami, Hailee Kawakami; sister, Vivian Mandrigues; nieces and nephews.

Sadamu Saiki
Sadamu “Sada” Saiki of Hanamaulu passed away at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on February 21, 2014, at the age of 88. He was born in Kilauea, Kauai on March 31, 1925, a United States Army Veteran, manager of Ala Moana Bowl in Lihue and retired as Maintenance Technician with Sheraton Coconut Beach Resort. He started the Junior Bowling Program on Kauai and the KIF bowling program.
Preceded in death by his siblings, Noboru Saiki, Hisako Goodall, Megumi Saiki, Setsuko Sakata and grandson, Colin Sunada.
He is survived by his wife, Reiko Saiki; son, Nolan (Mary Jane Udaundo) Omi; daughters, Sadie (Dennis) Sunada, Colette Saiki, Raleen (Raymond) Pascua, Leesha (Edward Jr.) Kawamura; grandchildren, Lane Sunada, Jared Sunada, Kailene Oliveros, Tara Pascua, Hailee Omi; great grandchildren, Juston Sunada, Lilliana Sunada, Maika Oliveros; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family requests no Koden. Private services were held.

Dorothy Kam Tau Muraoka of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on March 4, 2014 at the age of 83 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on May 10, 1930 in Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. She was a clerk for S.O.H. Unemployment Office.
Preceded in death by her parents, Chun Sam and Vivian Wong and granddaughter, Jasmine Muraoka.
She is survived by her husband, Takashi Muraoka, Lihue; sons, Steven (Kathleen) Muraoka, Lihue; Clyde (Robin) Muraoka, California; Kurt (Lori) Muraoka, Honolulu, daughters, Marian (Jesse) Akagi, Lihue; Joyce Smith, Kentucky. 10 grandchildren, Bronson, Dane, Chad, Christie (Jeremy) Polloi; Sasha, Brad (Cathy), Jennifer, Dana, Kalani, Pomai, and 4 great grandchildren, Avari and Gabriel Smith, Jason and Haven Polloi, numerous nieces and nephews.
