KOLOA — “Little Brush,” an reception and exhibition of work from local artist Robin McCoy, is scheduled 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 14, at The Spa at Koloa Landing Resort, 2641 Poipu Road.
The event in conjunction with Halelea Gallery is free and open to the public. The goal is to blend McCoy’s art with the natural elements of the space, with complimentary neck massages and pupu appetizers.
McCoy’s art depicts Kauai’s vibrant exotic flowers, sunlit seascapes and classic Hawaiian plantation-style homes. The paintings reflect her passion for gardening and portray the everyday beauty of the island.
“When I’m in my garden, I’m so inspired,” said McCoy. “I love it when the light hits the flowers and take great care in re-creating these picturesque scenes in my art.” McCoy lives in rural Kalaheo with her husband and two children.
