You guessed it. The fantasy and glamour of Hollywood is returning to Kauai and bringing with it a virtual world of dinosaurs.
The casting directors from EBB Tide Productions Casting will be on the lookout Sunday, March 16 for actor wannabes who would like to be an extra in “Jurassic World.” Men and women, and children between the ages of 10 and 15, are welcome at the free casting call at Kauai Community College in the Performing Arts Center between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Military types are being encouraged to apply. Casting directors are also seeking international-looking people of all ages, including the following: Asians, Europeans, Middle Easterners, African Americans, South and Latin Americans and North Americans.
Those planning to try out are encouraged to bring along friends, family and a pen. Also bring a book or quiet activity to do while waiting. Leave your tank tops at home.
Those selected will enjoy fun, food and pay.
Shooting will begin in May and the film, a fourth in the series, is expected to be released in theaters June 2015. Locations for shooting on Kauai are expected to include Blue Hole, Lawai, Olokele Valley, Hanapepe Valley and Manawaiopuna Falls.
