Helen Lacono had to close her shop last Friday because of all the rain, but she was on hand with Gail Little (the Lost Pelicans will be in Kapaa on Saturday) at the Kauai Culinary Market.
Melissa McFerrin is getting excited about next Saturday’s Art Walk which has the theme of “Kauai In Focus” showing artists’ interpretations on the beauty of the island.
She said Chef Jean Marie Josselin will be doing the sangria thing at every Wednesday market through the month of March.
Daphne McClure is back from the chocolate conference and Aletha Thomas of Monkeypod Jam is now a certified preserver after spending several weekends at Waipa.
Closer to home, Lani Kaui was showing off some of the kau kau tin which will be available when Arnold Hiura visits the Kauai Museum on Saturday to talk about kau kau to cuisine.
Marina Pascua is excited because she’s from the Big Island where Arnold is from, and of course, don’t forget the paina Friday from 11:30 a.m. with Dickie Chang.
