This cookbook is several editions old and very popular due to its local-style cuisine from appetizers to desserts, and now, if you visit Laurie or George at Tire Warehouse, they have it at the counter.
Laurie said Caroline Fredericksen and Ernie Kaneakoa of the Kalaheo Steak and Ribs (check out the Spaghetti and salad event, March 24!) have designated Thursday as “Dine and Donate” where a portion of dinner proceeds are set aside to benefit MS.
And speaking of charities, JC Crouch of Kauai Harley-Davidson is getting a headstart on his bail for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Lockup. Drop in on him, he’s getting lonesome now that Arlen Miner-Ho moved to the Aloha Kia Kauai showroom.
