County officials announced that its biannual household hazardous waste collection for residents is scheduled next week.

The collection will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations:

• Hanalei refuse transfer station, 5-3751 Kuhio Highway – Saturday, Feb. 22.

• Kapaa baseyard, 4900 Kahau Road – Saturday, Feb. 22.

• Hanapepe refuse transfer station, 4380 Lele Road, Sunday, Feb. 23.

• Lihue refuse transfer station, 3450 Ahukini Road, Sunday, Feb. 23.

The green waste service at the Hanalei transfer station will be closed Feb. 22 to accommodate the collection.
