Topaz Fernandez, a Kauai High School alumna, was crowned the 2014 Miss Garden Isle Saturday at the Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center.
Stephanie Steuri, an Island School graduate, was presented the Miss Kauai crown at the pageant, making them eligible for the Miss Hawaii pageant which will be held June 8 at the Hawaii Convention Center on Oahu.
En route to the Miss Garden Isle crown, Fernandez, a previous Miss Kauai Filipina and Miss Hawaii Filipina title holder, earned Best in Swimsuit honors.
Nicole Arruda, earning honors for her Tahitian dance in the talent phase of the competition, was crowned First Runner Up.
Janessa Grady, a Kauai High School alumna, earned the Spirit award en route to being named the Second Runner Up.
Saunie Torricer earned the Congeniality award, voted on by the eight participants of the scholarship pageant.
