HANAPEPE — Corner kicks were profitable for the Kauai High School boys on Saturday when the Red Raiders took a 2-0 win over Waimea High School at the Hanapepe Stadium.
Kauai coach Mark Brandeburg said Kaiea Iwasaki headed a corner kick into the net, and Scrappy Garma netted the second goal directly from a corner kick for the win.
Kauai boys next face Island School Wednesday in a single game starting at 4 p.m. at Island School.
The girls, starting its season a week earlier than the boys, closed off its season with wins, the Kauai junior varsity taking a 20-0 win over the JV Menehune, and the varsity girls taking a 3-0 win to end its season undefeated.
