Mahalo to Micah Mokuahi, coach of the Kapaa High School paddling teams, for help with getting rosters of his crews.
More mahalo to A.J. Ort, Sean Magoun and Jack Yatsko in trying to make sense of six soccer games all in the span of one day and at two locations, and squeezed between paddling and boys basketball, no less.
Kudos to Marissa Sandblom and the Grove Farm Co. for helping to get schools in the Kauai District Spelling Bee that runs at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School. Brent Mizutani said we have a record number of schools this year.
Bobby Rapozo (she said Aleigha “Red” Scovel will be thrilled to see her name in the paper) will be leading her Kauai JV girls so there goes the spelling bee. Bobby and her husband Kenny were wondering about the Mel Bacio beef stew Monday while waiting on their daughter to finish class at Kauai Community College.
OK, time to check out soccer at Island School and Vidinha Stadium (the season is almost over).
