Adding to the list of accomplishments, Bryson Baligad, a junior at Kapaa High School, picked up a qualifying standard and two of the five consideration standards.

Baligad, getting the qualifying swim in the 100-yard butterfly (55.99) on his first attempt in that event, picked up consideration swims in the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 55.40 seconds) and the 100-yard backstroke (59.54) on his first attempts in those respective events.

This week, Ishida marked a 1:06.19 swim in the 100 backstroke for a consideration standard, her third in the two-week old season.
Kauai freshman Asa Hendrickson, senior Tyler Elwin, sophomore Andrew Beeksma, and sophomore Riley Young may not have marked any state standards in their respective individual swims, but collectively as the boys 400 freestyle relay, posted a consideration standard with their 3:51.77 swim, an improvement over last week’s 4:28.28.
