More on smart ballot wording
As with the FERC petition three years ago, KIUC has misworded the ballot unfairly, to not even present the reason for the ballot.
Since fairness is a relative judgment call, both sides of a ballot issue should be presented. KIUC’s one-sided approach tries to dumb down the public to control everyone with a big boss mentality. For that reason alone all members should vote no.
KIUC refuses to acknowledge that manmade electro-magnetic frequencies can be dangerous. Apple Inc. now advises to hold iPhones away from your ear. Smart meters are 100 to 800 more powerful than a mobile phone, according to the Santa Cruz Health Department.
Edward Snowden has revealed that the NSA collects data on 5 billion electronic devices daily. The surveillance state is here and smart meters collect personal data.
KIUC says smart meters are a benefit and the program has zero risks. According to ACLU, if this is true then non-participants are penalizing themselves and should not be charged an extra fee on top of that.
KIUC was proven wrong on the FERC issue. They will be proven wrong on the smart meter issue.
Opt out of all the risks, get the surveillance meter off your house and vote no to new fees for keeping your privacy and health.

Pier is a gift
Snowbirds are dribbling in and view the long awaited restoration of Kauai’s most famous backdrop for fantasy and romance. Beyond expectations it will be captured by thousands who will click away for the picture perfect moment to remember. A huge thought is how will seasoned artists who have painted the iconic structure put a new color into artwork that blends in with the landscape. Thank you for the gift that will keep on giving through paint and viewfinders.
