Lucy Lowrie
Lucy Minnie Lowrie of Lihue passed away Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 2, 2014, at the age of 87. She was born in Germantown, Tennessee on June 16, 1927, and retired from Rose Medical Center as a Dietary Aid.
Preceded in death by two children, Danny McKenzie and Debra McAlister.
She is survived by eight children, Jackie Henke, Shawn McKenzie, Rebecca McKenzie, Gary McKenzie, Cynthia Schweiger, Michelle Noel, Frank McKenzie, Alice Klapp, 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lucille Nakamatsu
Lucille Y. Nakamatsu of Lawai, Kauai, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 7, 2014 at the age of 71. Born on October 10, 1942 in Waimea, she was a teacher/registrar with Waimea High School.
She is survived by her husband, Marshal Nakamatsu; son, Scott Nakamatsu of Lawai; daughter, Kelly (Wes Florentino) Valencia of Kunia, Oahu; two grandchildren, Tori Nakamatsu-Figaroa and Makayla Valencia; sisters, Brenda (James) Denny of Kekaha, and Diane (William) Meyer of Kingsburg, California; son-in-law, Marlon Valencia; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private Services will be held at a later date. Family only. Family requests privacy.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Kimiyo Fujimoto
Kimiyo Fujimoto of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on December 31, 2013, at the age of 96. She was born in Lihue, Kauai on April 27, 1917, and retired from Top to Toe Gift shop.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Yoshimi and son Dale.
She is survived by two sons, Patrick (Linda) Fujimoto of Mililani and Michael (Radine) Fujimoto of Honolulu; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Natsue Nagai of Honolulu, brother, Mac Takemoto of Minnesota; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family requests no Koden. Private services were held.
