HONOLULU — Hawaii State Federal Credit Union on Monday announced that it is taking applications for its 19th annual scholarship program.
HSFCU members and dependents attending a university, college, trade or vocational school may apply for a $2,000 scholarship. Fifteen scholarships will be awarded to students based on financial need, academic merit and extra-curricular activities.
Applicants must submit an application form with the most recent official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a personal essay, student aid report and a list of personal achievements and community service participation.
Applications can be downloaded at hsfcu.com/scholarship or picked up at any Hawaii State FCU branch location. Applications will be accepted through March 31.
Since 1996, the Hawaii State FCU scholarship program has awarded more than $449,000 to help members pursue a higher education.
