Kudos to Jarrett Chytka, manager at the Big Kmart, Kauai Police Chief Darryl Perry, Rosie Carrillo of the Children’s Justice Center and all the people who made the Shop with a Cop another successful event on Monday!
A special mahalo to Laura Cushnie who was so impressed with the program, she became a Shop with a Cop angel this year. Unfortunately, she was out of town, but sent Brad Booye, Eli Nishihira and Mark Ozaki Jr. of the Kalaheo Missionary Church to represent her.
Dana Garven (she said she’s been with Kmart from when the fixtures started coming in) did a great job making sure no one forgot when the event was.
KPD Capt. Kaleo Perez said he’s got two more weeks before retiring, and Sarah Blane couldn’t make the event because someone had to hold down the fort.
OK, it’s off to see who is the Christmas baby … Mele Kalikimaka!
