Ove Jensen (he loves The Garden Island!) said if he was from Sweden it would be “J-e-n-s-o-n,” but since he’s from Denmark, it’s “J-e-n-s-e-n.”
Ove and Lang were on hand Friday to enjoy the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital Christmas Luncheon where Patrick Ching was thrilled to arrange the appearance of Kimo the Christmas Horse (Gary Smith of the Kilauea Social Club even had a photo taken with Patrick), and Josie Pablo kept trying to figure out how come there were so many people when the resident population is 51.
Myra Ornellas said it’s because there are people like Eugene Delos Reyes who gets to “come home” to Mahelona. Kudos to the hospital staff on a great job … even had time to chat with Placido Valenciano.
Happy birthday to Tom LaVenture, who celebrated his special day Friday, and to Chloe Marchant who ditched (thank you, Richard Stein!) the Camper Sunday on her special day!
