Loreto B. Anacleto Sr.
Loreto B. Anacleto Sr. of Koloa, Kauai passed away on December 8, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 77. Born on May 27, 1936 in the Philippines he was a Retired Maintenance man.
Preceded in death by his daughters Teresa Anacleto and Luceda Anacleto. He is survived by his wife Segunda “Seggie” Borja Anacleto; Daughter: Lorna (Donny) Belong; 5) Sons: JoJo (Marites) Anacleto; Jess Anacleto; Jeffrey (Rebecca) Anacleto; Keenan Anacleto; Kal Anacleto; 9) Grandchildren ; Ryan, Jonathan, Kathy, Krystal, Karen, Casey, Jacob, Malia and Makana; 3) Great grandchildren; TG, Zedakai, AJ; 2) Sisters: Emerenciana Igarta; Natalia Mendoza; 2) Brothers: Florencio Anacleto; Andres Anacleto, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday January 11, 2014 at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa from 8:00 am to 9:45 am. Where mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at St. Raphaels Church Cemetery in Koloa.

Reymunda Apana
Reymunda “Mona” Apana of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on November 21, 2013 at Samuel Mahelona Hospital at the age of 82. Born on March 14, 1931, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Victoria Amis; husband, Richard Apana; brothers, Victor Amis and Alfred Amis and sister, Elizabeth Alesna.
She is survived by her brother, Jose Ontoy, Kapaa; sister, Rose (Ernest) Paden, Koloa, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit the family on Friday December 20, 2013 at the Kapaa First Hawaiian Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Service at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Maximina Pascual
Maximina “Maxine” Bangloy Pascual passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on December 11, 2013, at the age of 98. She was born in Isabela, Philippines on April 26, 1915, and was employed by Caleb E. S. Burns, Lihue Plantation manager from 1933 to 1951, and Florence Burns as cook and housekeeper from 1954 to 1967 at Iliahi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Absalon “Chicago” Pascual; survived by five daughters; Sally Rasay of Hanamaulu, Catherine (Karl) Lo of Poipu, Adeline “Dely” (Roy) Sasaki of Lihue, Merlyn (Phillip) Chan of Millbrae, CA, Eleanor (Raymond) Ibia of San Jose, CA; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 11 great great-grandchildren; 1 hanai grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, December 23, at Lihue Lutheran Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. Worship service will be at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens at 12:30 p.m. Casual attire suggested and family graciously declines flowers.

Herbert Levi Keamoai Sr.
Herbert Levi Keamoai Sr. passed away on December 10, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Born on February 11, 1935 in Puuwai, Niihau, he was a Welder with Gay and Robinson.
Preceded in death by his wife, Anna Keamoai.
He is survived by his sons, Herbert Keamoai Jr. of Makaweli, and Kelvin “Smitty” Keamoai of Kaumakani; daughters, Lois Keamoai of Waimea, and Lisa (Travis) DeSilva of Kapaa; granddaughter, Carlie Ann DeSilva of Kapaa; brother, Andrew Keamoai of Kekaha; sisters, Elaine Gampong of Kekaha, and Josephine Blair of Nanakuli; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private Services were held.

Pauline Yaeko Masada Gibbons
Pauline Yaeko Masada Gibbons of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away on December 10, 2013 at her residence at the age of 59. Born on April 27, 1954 in Honolulu, HI, she was the owner of Poi Pounder shirts, Turtle and Gecko and Gotcha Covered with husband Laurence Gibbons.
Preceded in death by her father, Harris K. Masada.
She is survived by her husband, Laurence Gibbons; mother, Nancy Y. Masada of Hilo; sisters, Pamela Shimomura , Yvonne Masada White, Gail (Edward) Matsukawa, and June (John) Lizama, all of Kapaa; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private Services were held.

Hisayo Akama
Hisayo Y. Akama of Kapa’a passed away at home on October 8, 2013, at the age of 95. She was born in Lihue on July 1, 1918 and was the owner of Yukimura Store.
Preceded in death by her husband Terumi Akama, she is survived by her son Roger (Fely) Akama of Kapa’a and daughter Jean Akama of Gilbert, Arizona; 7 grandchildren, Justine (Patrick) Henriques, Wesley (Amy) Akama, Rylan Akama, Ty Akama, Jacob LaPinta, Joshua LaPinta and Jenna LaPinta; 2 great-grandchildren, Lanning Henriques and Natasha Akama; sisters, Kimie Ozaki, Mitsue (Bob) Kataoka and Yuriko Nanbu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013, at Kapa’a United Church of Christ with visitation from 9:30 a.m. and services at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m.
