Kudos to Ed Kawamura, who pulled everything together with his ohana for the holiday gathering, for honoring 100-year-old veteran Gabriel Cataluna, who was there with his wife Leonora and daughters Kathleen Murguia, Aileen Takenaka.
Domie and Peggy Aquino of Rocky Boy Mont., (they brought over some Native American youth a few years ago) were visiting Tina and Ron Sakamoto of Lawai and got to enjoy the veteran-style holiday shindig, even getting a visit from Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr.
Johnny Rabasa was busy taking photos and Jonette Chun had a batch of photos from the last get together for veterans to add to their scrapbooks.
OK, time to go check out the University of Hawaii basketball team, who practice tonight after the high school game and play a game on Saturday.
