Waimea High School, the Kauai Interscholastic Federation cheer champions for 2013, placed five members of its squad on the KIF Cheer All-Stars.
The KIF announced the members of the Cheer All-Star squad Wednesday, placing five members each from Waimea, Kauai, and Kapaa high schools.
The youngest member of the cheer all-star, freshman Shania Rita, hails from Waimea. Rita is joined by sophomore Kaena Kaohelaulii, and three seniors, Tiffany Patricio-Huddy, Kawenaulaonalani Warren, and Delcynn Lagazo.
Waimea’s cheer squad, representing the KIF at the Zippy’s Hawaii High School Athletic Association Cheerleading championships on Oahu, settled in sixth place with 323.75 points in the Medium Division.
Kauai High School’s entries into the cheer all-stars includes a junior, Kiana Pagador, and four seniors, Dillon Ancheta, Kent Morano, Tamara Akau and Ciara Delos-Reyes-Caires.
Kapaa High School’s entries into the cheer all-stars includes one senior, Uilani McCabe, and four juniors, Chelsea Ferrer, Jasmine Carnate, Anna-Marie Lopez and Rachel Apana.
