Margaret Akana
Margaret “Tita” Ka’?nohiolaokalani Goodwin Akana passed away on October 16, 2013 at her home at the age of 91. She was born on July 9, 1922 in Paliuli, Waimea, Kaua’i.
She was preceded in death by her parents; William Kani Goodwin, Sr. and Margaret Kamala Kama’i Goodwin; brothers, William Kani Goodwin Jr.; Lawrence Laulani Goodwin; Robert Hi’ilei Goodwin; Ellsworth Goodwin; husband, Solomon Maluna Waip? Akana Sr.; sons, Curtis Naninohea Goodwin; Solomon Maluna Waip? Akana Jr.; Norman Kuakini Waip? Akana Sr.; and daughter, Ernestine Ku’uleinanio Paliuli Summers.
She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth “Buddy” Kapenakealohaokalana Silva of Kuli’ou’ou, O’ahu; sons, William Kani Goodwin (Malia) Akana of Kekaha; Stewart Kopa (Layla) Akana of Puhi; Calvin Kealoha (Jeanne) Fu of Hanapepe; daughters, Ellen Leinani (Tony) Blas of Wailua; Carol H?li’imaile (Walter) ‘?pana of Anahola;daughter-in-law, Priscilla Akana of Eleele; 24 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Lucy Wright Park, Waimea, Kaua’i. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am, service at 11:00 am, with the celebration to follow.

Doreen Cecelia Fernandez of Brydeswood – Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on October 29, 2013. She was born on April 8, 1959 in Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents, Henry & Mary Moritsugu of Kilauea; and her Maternal Grandparents, Rosita A. Naumu; and Ralph D. Fernandez of Kekaha and her grandchildren of Justin’s; Jayven & Jyrus Sablan, Honeyboy & Robert Langtad and grandchild of Colin; Haven Chaos.
She is survived by her mother, Bernice Wade of Kekaha; her sons, Lonnie (Danielle) Young of San Bernardino, California; Justin (Jamie Moulton) Young of Kekaha; and Colin Young Sr. of Oahu; her grandchildren, Colin Young Jr.; Star Young; Haeden Young; and Mikaela Young, her ex-husband, Rodney A. Young of Brydeswood-Kalaheo; Also by her father, Warren (Ilona) Moritsugu of Koloa; her half-brothers, Cory Moritsugu of Kekaha; Robin Moritsugu of Kapaa; and Ross Moritsugu of Koloa; her Grand Aunt; Leonora A. Cataluna of Koloa; numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Private Services were held.

Andres Galicinao Gaor
Andres Galicinao Gaor formerly of Kaumakani and Hanapepe, Kauai passes away on November 5, 2013 at Hale Kupuna at the age of 97. He was born on November 30, 1915 in Lanao Bangui Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was a retired Laborer for Olokele Sugar Company.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Perfecta Dureg Gaor; and his daughter; Emy Gaor Dela Cruz.
He is survived by his two daughters, Cristina (Nick) Jamorabon; Aida Gaor Dolfo; 8) grandchildren; 20) Great grandchildren; 1) Sister, Germana Dureg; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
Friend may visit with the family on Thursday November 21, 2013 at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. and again on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo from 9:00 am to 9:45 am. Where mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Hanapepe public cemetery.

Gary Seiji Matsushige
Gary Seiji Matsushige of Honolulu passed away on November 6, 2013 at his residence at the age of 72. He was born on February 16, 1941 in Lihue, Kauai. He retired from Hawaii Central Credit Union.
He was preceded in death by parents, Seichi (Fisher) and Kimi Matsushige.
He is survived by his wife, Mae Matsushige; sons, Dr. Derek (Kay) Matsushige; Keola (Prestine) Matsushige; daughter, Chantel Matsushige; 3 granddaughters.
Service will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Hosai Garden Mortuary with visitation from 10:00 am. No flowers. Casual attire.
Arrangements are being handled by Hosai Garden Mortuary, Honolulu, Oahu.
Ian Ishikawa
Ian Isami Ishikawa passed away on November 3, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 55. Born on June 7, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois, he was an Entrepreneur.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Ishikawa.
He is survived by his son, Claven Hasegawa of Hanapepe; mother, Takako Ishikawa; brothers, Wade (Grace) Ishikawa of Hanapepe; and Robert (Donna) Ishikawa of Hanapepe; sister, Lynn (Craig) Hayashi of Hanapepe; one grandchild; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held. Scattering of ashes at a later date.
