HANAPEPE — Clients and staff of the 5th Circuit Kauai Drug Court program took part in a community service project at Hanamaulu Beach Park on Oct. 25.
The work included picking up trash along the road, across the park and the beach. They also painted picnic benches, bathroom walls, the outdoor shower and parts of the main pavilion.
This was the third of three community service projects the Kauai Drug Court has performed this year, said Drug Court Administrator Joseph Savino.
The projects are made possible through grants from Kauai United Way and donations to the nonprofit group The Friends Of The Kauai Drug Court.
