LIHUE — In observance of Veteran’s Day, Kauai County offices will be closed on Monday along with all refuse transfer stations, the Kekaha Landfill, Puhi Metals Recycling Center and the Kauai Resource Center.
The Kauai Bus will be operating on a modified schedule on Veterans Day.
Since the Kapaa and Waimea swimming pools are closed on Mondays, they will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 12 in observance of the holiday.
Residential refuse pick-up will not be affected by the holiday and will continue as scheduled.
All HI-5 bottle redemption centers, with the exception of the one located at the Kauai Resource Center, will also maintain regular hours on Veterans Day.
Normal business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, Nov. 12 except for the Kapaa and Waimea swimming pools, which will reopen the following day.
