HANAPEPE — Conner Hunt scored two goals to lead the Koloa Farmers to a 2-0 win for the title of the American Youth Soccer Organization, Region 940 Under 12 Boys Monday.
Hunt scored with less than a minute left in the first half, and again in the 35th minute.
Commissioner William Trugillo said both the Kalaheo Galaxy and the Koloa Farmers will advance to the Will Veeck tournament starting Monday at the North Vidinha fields.
Championship games continue into the week, the AYSO, Region 940 Girls Under 14 taking the field at Hanapepe Stadium, Wednesday starting at 4:15 p.m., and the Boys Under 14 taking the field Friday starting at 4:15 p.m.
The Will Veeck Inter-regional playoffs start 4 p.m. Monday when the Girls Under 12 from AYSO, Region 940 meet their Region 941 counterparts. The Boys Under 14 from AYSO, Region 940 meet the Region 941 counterparts in two games.
