Helen said she didn’t like making the crust so came up with Chicken Pot Pie Soup. Joe Robinson (who is Ian Moon?) stopped by to help dispense soup since even pelicans need vacations. Ada Koene said Helen’s soup book, “Kauai Farmers Market Soups” is already in its second printing and selling quite well at Talk Story Bookstore.
Executive Chef Mauro Politi gave shoppers at the Kauai Culinary Market a treat, playing a harmonica concert ahead of his chef’s demo on Lawai Piopinni Mushroom and Rainbow Chard Hanalei Pasta risotto.
Melissa McFerrin said Saturday is the Kukuiula Art Walk, and among the shoppers, Larry Feinstein is back (he’s starting his second life) after spending less than a week, away!
OK, time to check out Dave Jordan of the Friendship House and the Mental Health Fair at Kukui Grove, starting at 5 p.m.
