Namolokama O Hanalei, crossing 12th overall, was the first Kauai team to cross the finish line Sunday.
Stopping the clock at 6 hours, 50 minutes and 19 seconds, Namolokama competed in the Open Glass category at the 35th Annual Na Wahine O Ke Kai Molokai-to-Oahu paddle, which was won by Team Bradley, of Maui.
Team Bradley, averaging 5.2 miles per hour, touched down in 6:12.23, more than seven minutes ahead of runner-up finisher Waikiki Beach Boys 1 (6:19:46), both teams also competing in the Open Glass category.
Hanalei Canoe Club, also competed in the Open Glass, touched down at 7:11:26, 26th overall as the second Kauai team to finish the grueling race.
Niumalu crossed the line at 7:14:38, or 28th overall, as the third Kauai team.
Other Kauai teams participating in the challenge, according to results from Pacific Sport and Timing include the Kukuiula Canoe Club, 7:34:51, in the Koa category at 44th place, and Puuwai touching at 8:06:40, or 61st place, racing in the Masters 50-Plus category.
