If Melissa Gregory had ice on Sunday, she’d be a rich lady today. There were a lot of people who stopped by the Kauai Coffee tent looking for ice to pour coffee over during the Breadfruit Festival. Kudos to Dr.

Kudos to Dr. Diane Ragone (Melissa said she worked for Dr. Ragone before Kauai Coffee) and her Breadfruit Institute crew on a great event.
Rhoda Libre had her hair filled with the Kauai hibiscus (the one with the smell), and coach Mel and Marissa Purcell took Mel’s parents to check out the activity (Mel’s dad is a classmate of Chef Sam Choy, Marissa said).
Speaking of which, Randall Francisco of the Kauai Chamber said Chef Choy will be doing a rice demo at this weekend’s Rice Festival and Spam Jamboree.
Be sure to visit Charlene Steuri and the Kauai Bots along with Lorna Santos and the Lawai Cannery crew Sunday for the garage sale. And, if you’re in Lihue, Kevin Matsunaga and the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School media crew will be washing cars at Kukui Grove.
