The Kauai Veterans Council is accepting applications for Miss Kauai Veteran 2013-2014.
Applications are available through high school senior counselors as well as the high school offices, Jr. ROTC directors, the Kauai Veterans Center on Kapule Highway, or by visiting www.kauaiveteranscenter.com.
Completed applications must be submitted to the Kauai Veterans Center by Sept. 30.
Applicants must be a high school senior currently with a grade point average of 3.0, or better, related to a veteran, and active in veteran organization events and community service and student affairs.
Miss Kauai Veteran will represent veterans organizations at military celebrations including the Veterans Day parade, the Veterans Day service at the Hanapepe Veterans Cemetary, and the Memorial Day service in May.
The Kauai Veterans Council will present Miss Kauai Veteran with a scholarship of $1,000.
