LIHUE — The University of Hawaii Bookstores and the University’s official retail store, Rainbowtique, unveiled two, new T-shirts designed by UH Manoa students Brigette Agustin and Avree Ito-Fujita on Monday.
Their designs were the winners of the HI Pride Design Contest by voting on the bookstore’s Facebook page. The shirts are available at all Rainbowtique and UH bookstore locations.
Proceeds from the sale of these shirts goes to support the University of Hawaii in its educational mission.
“This is good to support the student in their designs,” said Kauai Community College bookstore Manager Noel Mock.
Mock said there is one design already available and some signage for the project. More is expected to come in from UH Manoa.
The incentive for students is a half-price special, he said.
The KCC bookstore is open from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays.
