Yachiyo Nakamatsu of Lawai passed away on July 23, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 91. She was born on January 2, 1922 in Waimea, Kauai. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Yamitsu Nakamatsu.
She is survived by her sons, Marshal (Lucille) Nakamatsu of Lawai, and Glendale (Gloria) Nakamatsu of San Jose, Calif.; brother, Sadamu Akamine of Kekaha; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
