The editor of the book Kauai Stories, a collection of 50 personal stories that illustrate life on the Garden Island, is seeking people who would like to share their experiences for Kauai Stories II.
“Kauai people are inspiring, courageous, inventive and funny simply by being themselves and following their passions,” says author Pamela Varma Brown.
“In Kauai Stories II let’s bring more of that to life for people everywhere to enjoy.”
Brown is specifically looking for stories about malama (taking care of one another); dancing hula; your favorite lei story; Kauai’s healing power; interview with someone who loves picking opihi; spooky and true Kauai stories; love and romance on the Garden Island; interview with a tapa maker; surfing stories; the Poipu Beach Boys; island characters; Taylor Camp short stories; backyard music and any other stories that illustrate the character of Kauai and that may be interesting to a broad audience.
Contact Brown at (808) 651-3533 or pam@kauaistories.net to talk story with her so she can write your story (you will have an opportunity to review it before it is published). You may also submit a story you have written yourself and Brown will contact you if it is selected for Kauai Stories II.
