Thomas Ching
Thomas “Tommy” Ching of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. Passed away on June 24, 2013 at the age of 65, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on June 11, 1948 in Lihue, Kauai. He was an avid fisherman.
He is preceded in death by: parents, Francis and Ruth Ching; brothers, Michael and William Ching.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Miner, Kauai; daughters, Malia (Julian) Delos Reyes, Kapahi; Candice Miner-Ching, Kauai; son, Thomas John Miner-Ching, Kauai; brother, Francis Ching Las Vegas; sister, Rowena Lowe, Oahu; Sheilah Ching, Koloa; grandchildren, Kyla Dean Oclit, Kapaa, Rhaynedel Ululani Oclit, Oahu; numerous Aunties, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013, at St. Catherine Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass to follow. Aloha attire is requested.

Iwalani Kanoho-Soares
Iwalani Rowena Kanoho-Soares of Lihue, Kauai. She passed away on July 4, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 60. She was born on December 6, 1952 in Lihue, Kauai. She was a security Guard at Kauai High School and Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Soares; her parents Henry and Kila Kanoho; sisters Luka Goo, Eldean Kanoho and Grathana Cabral; brothers Henry, Waianuhea and Bruce Kanoho.
She is survived by her daughter: Eldean (Larry) Cruz; sons: Daniel (Catherine) Pimental; Darson (Catherine) Pimental; five Grandchildren, Sisters: Eloise (Eddie) Taniguchi, Jr.; Leilani (Stanley) Suenaga; Noelani Ornellas; Jackie (Greg) Figueira; Brothers: Steven (Claudia) Kanoho; Makalapua Kanoho and Harry Kanoho.
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary in Koloa from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Lucille B. Arruda
Lucille B. Arruda of Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on July 10, 2013 at the age of 81 at Queens Medical Center, Oahu. Born on December 3, 1931 in Makaweli, Kauai. She was a cook.
Preceded in death by son, Mark Arruda; daughters, Marie Ribera; Melissa Ornong and Darleen Emura.
She is survived by: Sons, Earl Gouveia, Honolulu; Marvin (Gayle) Arruda, Washington State; daughter, Verna (Randy) Chinen, Kekaha; brothers, Clarence (Puanani) Arruda, Kapaa; Joaquin “Jr” (Leilani) Arruda, Kekaha; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Numerous Aunties and Uncles and nieces and nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday July 19, 2013 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Waimea. Visitation at 9:00 A.M. Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery

Walter Abreu
Walter G. Abreu of Lawai Valley, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on July 7, 2013, at his residence at the age of 92. He was born on March 6, 1921 in Lawai Valley. He was a Retired sole proprietor of Lawai Valley Hog Ranch.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Abreu and his wife, Anna Abreu.
He survived by: sons, Jesse (Kuuipo) Abreu, Wailua; John (Nadine) Abreu, California; daughters, Nan Mosley, Lawai Valley; Gerry (Wally) Pimental, Kekaha; Jean Abreu, Lawai Valley, 57 grand and great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday July 16, 2013, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo. Visitation at 9:00 A.M. Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Burial at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Kekaha. Casual attire is suggested.

Sara Molander
Sara “Sally” Molander of Kekaha, Kauai passed away at Kauai Veteran’s Memorial Hospital on July 8, 2013 at the age of 67. She was born on August 7, 1945 in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. She was a retired Teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Molander; daughter, Janet Noe of California; son, Leif Molander of New Mexico, and stepson, Lloyd Molander Adams of California; sister, Miriam Taylor of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren.
A special service will be on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Waimea United Church of Christ at 11:15 am. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
