LIHUE — Kauai Island Utility Cooperative will hold its annual membership meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center.
The meeting is open to members of the cooperative and the general public.
KIUC President and CEO David Bissell will provide an update on progress toward the goal of producing 50 percent of Kauai’s energy with renewable resources by 2023.
He will also talk about the impact that reducing oil consumption will have on rates over the next 10 years.
KIUC board members will also be present.
