Jean Weber
Jean Marie Weber of Lafayette, California passed away on Kauai on July 3, 2013, at the age of 73. She was born in Woodland, California on May 6, 1940, and retired as an executive assistant from Alta Bates Summit Medical Center after 25 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Michael Weber and father, Charles Price Hoppin.
She is survived by her two daughters, Laurie Weber of Lihue, Kauai and Cindy (Joe) Dougherty of Lafayette, California; one son, Steve Weber of San Francisco, California; three grandchildren, Ryan, Katie and Molly Dougherty; mother, Martha Fritschi of Moraga, California; brothers, Ned (Barbara) Hoppin of Mattoon, Illinois, Richard (Muffy) Hoppin of Woodland, California, Lawrence (Debbie) Hoppin of Woodland California; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 13th at Ho’okipa Cafe at Puakea Golf Course from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Weber family with arrangements.
Joseph Kanahele
Joseph Hookipa Kanahele, 69, of Kekaha passed away at The Queens Medical Center on June 29, 2013. Born on January 26, 1944 in Puuwai, Niihau, he was a crane operator with Gay and Robinson.
He is survived by his Hanai sons, Sam (Lotu) Bastillos of Kekaha, Marcelo (Debbie) Bustillos of Maui, Hookipa (Michelle) Bustillos of Maui, Lambert (Brenda) Kaohelaulii of Maui, and Kauwila boy (Sana) Pahulehua of Waimea; Hanai daughters, Joann (Robert) Figaroa of Anahola, Connie (Kaimana) Costineda of Kekaha, Hualani (Dave) Duncan of Hanapepe, Grace (Harry) Kala of Kekaha, Ruth (Kuma) Kaohelaulii of Hanapepe, Ella (Kalana) Kanahele of Kekaha, Gladys (Kahale) Kahale of Kekaha, Kahea (Jay) Niau of Kekaha, Sally (Tony) Bernaldes of Kekaha, and Helena Corcoran of Honolulu; sister, Mileka Kanahele; and Aunty Tootie Evaline; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 am, service starts at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at the Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Sara Molander
Sara “Sally” Molander of Kekaha, Kauai passed away at Kauai Veteran’s Memorial Hospital on July 8, 2013 at the age of 67. She was born on August 7, 1945 in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. She was a retired Teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Molander; daughter, Janet Noe of California; son, Leif Molander of New Mexico, and stepson, Lloyd Molander Adams of California; sister, Miriam Taylor of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren.
A special service will be on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Waimea United Church of Christ at 10:00 am. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Thomas Gaucher
Thomas A. Gaucher, PhD of Kapaa, Hawaii passed away at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital on July 5, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born on February 19, 1928 in Willimantic, CT. He was a Scientist.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry S. Gaucher Sr. and Mae Cheney Gaucher; step-mother, Ruth W. Gaucher; and brothers, Robert J. Gaucher and Joseph Paul Gaucher.
He is survived by his two daughters, Danièle E. Gaucher and Lorraine Gaucher; son, Norman Gaucher; brothers, Harry S. Gaucher Jr. and Philippe Gaucher; a sister, Jacqueline Goettlich; a step-sister, Gail Bryne; and four grandchildren.
Private Service.
