LIHUE — The Kauai Police Department is seeking information about the driver and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident Monday morning in Lihue.
The incident occurred about 11:30 a.m. when a dark colored, low-rider style Nissan pickup truck was reported to have hit a utility pole at its base fronting a residence at 4109 Puaole Street. The collision caused the pole to fall onto a vehicle that was parked in the driveway.
The driver then fled the scene.
Major damage was sustained by the vehicle as well as the residence waterline, and water service had to be turned off.
