Satisfying your thirst and your taste buds should be your No. 1 priority this summer. The Papalani Breezers at Papalani Gelato will definitely cool you off, refresh your spirit and make you smile from ear to ear.
Marck Shipley, owner of Papalani Gelato, made TGIFR!DAY its signature drink — The Kona Coffee Breeze.
“We take Kona coffee and we cold brew it, so it gets concentrated,” Shipley said. “We then take one of our signature flavors, Papalani Pie, and we add that to the cold brew espresso. We then add milk, and we blend it together with fudge sauce. The Kona Coffee Breeze is one of our most popular drinks.”
The Papalani Pie is made of espresso with a coconut blend with a chocolate cookie sauce, macadamia nuts, espresso crunch and coconut.
Two other drinks Shipley noted are the Tropical Breeze and the Cheesecake Breeze.
The Tropical Breeze Fresh is made from lilikoi, fresh mango, fresh apple papaya, pineapple and a small amount of frozen yogurt and a bit of milk,” Shipley said. “It’s really good and it’s a nonfat drink.”
If you’re in the mood to really satisfy your sweet tooth, then try out the Cheesecake Breeze. The Cheesecake Breeze is made with cheesecake gelato that’s blended with a slice of cheesecake, milk, whipped cream and fudge sauce.
I’m licking my lips just thinking about it. It’s so good that Shipley tries to stay away from it.
“If I drink it now, I would want to drink it every day,” Shipley said, laughing.
For those who prefer dairy free or fat free options, the Fruit Breeze will do you right. With the Fruit Breeze, you have your choice of flavors from the wide array of sorbets and have it blended with orange juice and sparkling water.
